19th Century Swedish Carved Bench or Settee with Lift Top

Description: A fine solid Swedish hand carved bench or settee with a swag carved crest and pierce-carved pilaster splats decorated with swags across the back, scroll form arms, and a lift top bench seat over a storage compartment with four relief carved front panels with foliate wreath and cornucopia decoration. The piece dates to the 19th century and is in very good overall condition, with some mild staining on the bench - the piece was probably painted at some point, but now removed, along with a few other restorations.
