Description: Circa 1900 this magnificent bronze planter from the Japanese Meiji Period features a family of 6 frolicking elephants in high relief. The two tone quality of the bronze makes for striking contrast against the patinated surface. All the ears, tusks and nails have a soft shiny appearance. Pot is in good antique condition with some verdigris coloration, scuffs and one small spot of rust about 1/8" in diam in one of the crevices. Measuring 9x7 1/2"T
