Description: 19th century (can be as early as 18th) Indian bronze tantric ritual stamp from North India. The stamp leaves an imprint of a peacock feather in a vase, and was used during tantric temple ceremonies to decorate the bodies of devotees. Finial-shaped top, perforation in the middle for hanging with inserted ring, beautiful warm patina from age and use. The object comes from an old British collection. Length 1.93 inches.
