Many new fire trucks are plagued with electronic pump controls, this truck features mainly more reliable mechanical pump controls. The power is the legendary 12.7L 470 hp Detroit Series 60 motor (this one set at 430 hp) with only 4385 hours and under 36k miles on the odometer. Truck is nearly 30 years old, so not perfect; some things requiring attention include A/C doesn’t work, driver’s seat needs to be reupholstered, one cab marker light out, and the speedometer works only intermittently.
