During one of 53 missions the author and four crew had to parachute from their C-87 when they ran out of fuel over Tibet. The book describes a harrowing escape from their parachute landing on a mountain peak, spending 52 days hiking out. Softcover, 339 pages. With accompanying letter by McCallum, one page handwritten, dated 1996 discussing the publication of the book and giving a short synopsis of it. In addition, two newspaper clippings about his ordeal are laid in. Like new.
