Description: Vintage 1992 MMA snake bracelet. This wonderful 24k gold electroplated snake bracelet or armlet came from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The 1992 exhibition of ancient art, gifted from the Norbert Schimmel Collection, inspired this replica. The original museum piece is c. 300-250 B.C. from the early Hellenistic period. It is marked “MMA” and the inside measures 2-1/2'' round diameter and it weighs 1-3/4 oz. The bracelet does not bend so can only slightly be loosen or tightened. It slips over the wrist to be used as a bracelet or on the upper arm as an armlet. It is in excellent condition without any signs of wear. Questions are welcome and thanks for the interest!
