The model number is 17 6363. The handle on this knife has a red handle in order to have a good grip in water. This model is also sometimes called a Fishing Knife. This knife does have a guarantee control number on the finger guard. The number is 24091. This indicates the knife was made in the 1st half of 1990 at Puma Werks in Solingen, Germany. The Sea Hunter is not like any fishing knife made. It has many features. The red handle is grooved so when your hand is wet it will not slip out of your hand. The broad thumb groove gives extra support when cleaning large fish.Part of the blade has fine serrations to easily cut through bones, tough skin, and rope. The flat surface near the top of the blade serves as a hammer for clam and crab cracking. An exclusive for PUMA the blade has an additional short part for bait chopping. The knife is over 35 years old. This is a chance to own a great piece of Puma cutlery history. The blade is stainless steel and the handles are red rubber for a good grip in the water.
