Description: Fender 1988/52 RI American Tele. No issues. This beautiful ‘52 re-issue was factory relic’d from Fender (all relic beneath clear coat) and they relic’d the case too! So cool. Collector condition, from my personal collection. Extras include bridge cover, tags, and owners manual. Nearly un-played, but plays like butter. Frets are near new and has a beautifully straight, dark neck. Very clean, no pick-guard scratches and without neck stress cracks. The hand-worked relic upgrade option on this Tele was rare and was reserved only for Custom Shop models soon after ‘88. Relic areas include a factory “chip” on the front top, a small indent near the neck pup, a small “wear mark” before the 1st fret and in the cutaway rest position and traditional “wear” on the top and bottom of the neck, all relic’d areas are factory clear-coat sealed. Minor natural checking occurred on the front twice, back thrice, cutaway horn twice, and are the cherry on top of this Tele. Also naturally occurring are two very small nicks on the top of the headstock and are pictured. If not for these minor natural imperfections, I would list in mint condition because it’s that good. Weighs 8.25 lbs. Bridge replaced with same Fender 52RI OEM due to spotting. Will pack with care and ship fully insured. Smoke-free.
