1986 Chevrolet Blazer

Description: Located in Hampton VA, I am selling my 1986 Army Military Chevrolet K5 Blazer M1009 CUCV. It has 38,000 Miles on the odometer. This is a good running man truck that goes straight down the road. You'll never get stuck in the mud or snow. This truck has all of the proper military radios and accessories inside and the correct antenna mounts on the exterior of the vehicle. When this vehicle was in the military, it served in Europe, specifically West Germany in the late 80's before returning to the U.S.. Surface rust underneath with a couple of rust hole repairs needed on the roof, window seal, and small spot on the bed. The title is clean and in hand. Under the hood is a General Motors’ potent 6.2-liter “Detroit Diesel” V8, which puts out between 130 and 160 horsepower and 240 and 285 lb-ft of torque. This is the same engine used in the General Hummer through the 1993 model year. Can be used as a reliably runabout truck or a quick run to your favorite hunting location. If nothing else you can use it to pull stumps out of the ground. Yup, the M1009 is an upgrade to the civilian K5 of the same year upgraded from 1/2 to 3/4 ton. Power is sent to the four wheels via a GM chain driven NP208 transfer case to the front and rear wheels with Eaton Automatic Differential Locks. This CUCV is a 12/24-volt hybrid electrical system. The vehicles used dual 100 amp alternators. It also came equipped with a NATO slave receptacle for jump starting other vehicles still in tack. My plan was to paint the truck metallic burgundy to match my 2023 Corvette; redo the interior; and rebuild the suspension but the new wife wants it gone. Do a complete restoration to raise the value 4 times my asking or cruse as-is with no problem. In either case, this truck is designed to never let you down.
