Pete Willcox starring in the "Pete Willcox Review" at The Windmill Dinner Theater, opening May 24, 1984, in costume as Elvis Presley. Pete is a comedian-impersonator doing impersonations of such celebrities as Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Sammy Davis, Jr. You may not know Pete Willcox's face, but you probably know his voice. It's the one singing the '50s tunes that underscore the "Happy Days" and "Laverne & Shirley" TV series and the film W.W. And the Dixie Dance Kings. But Willcox, a singer/musician who spent years playing jazz houses like Los Angeles' Baked Potato, has become more than just a sound track singer. He has traded music for comedy and impressions. In his nightclub act, which he has performed in Las Vegas and is currently doing indefinitely at the Windmill Dinner Theatre. Willcox bends his regular voice into facsimiles of Willie Nelson's, Johnny Cash's and Sammy Davis Jr.'s. But his specialty is his impression of Elvis Presley, and his bio boasts that he is even the same height and weight as the young Elvis the Pelvis.
