Description: The 1979 USPS Mint Set of Commemorative Stamps has quite a wonderful focus on architecture (Scott #1779-1782), folk art from my home state of Pennsylvania (Scott #1775-1778), endangered flora (Scott #1783-1786), and the 1980 Moscow Summer Olympics (Scott #1790-1794). Among distinguished Americans to be honored in the 1979 collection are Robert F. Kennedy (Scott #1770), Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (Scott #1771), John Steinbeck (Scott #1773), and Albert Einstein (Scott #1774). I appreciated 1979 as the International Year of the Child (Scott # 1772), and the Seeing Guide Dog (Scott #1787) and Special Olympics (Scott #1788) stamps are personal favorites. Please review the photos carefully to make sure you approve, and let me know if you have any questions. –Joe
