Description: This is a 1972 compilation of the recipes and housekeeping hints of Alice Grierson which were originally found in a handwritten book. It has been compiled and edited by Mary L. Williams of Fort Davis National Historic Site. Alice was the wife of Ben Grierson, a volunteer soldier in the 10th Illinois Infantry. There are photographs of Mrs. Grierson and drawings by Etta M. Koch. The book has 72 pages and is bound with plastic spiral. It is 9" by 6" in fine condition.
