Additional research shows this car was used as a display vehicle for 1970 model year Car Shows and used in numerous ad campaigns for the year. Records show that on June 24th, 1970 the car was then sold to Jim Causley Pontiac of Detriot, Michigan, as an Out of Service Pontiac-Owned Company Car, for delivery to it's first retail customer for 1970. Pontiac built a total of only 627 GTO Hard Tops for 1970 equipped with Ram Air IV engine and 4 speed transmissions. This replica authentically duplicates the car used by Pontiac in their ad campaigns.
