Description: 1968 Fender Jazz Bass Neck LoadedUp for sale, an incredible and original 1968 Fender Jazz Bass rosewood neck in Very good condition.It was taken out from an all original 1968 Fender Jazz Bass that had dates confirmed AUG 68, and it's all original, including its finish, decal logo, nut and frets. The neck has been loaded with new Gotoh Chrome Lollipop tuners (just like the ones originally came with it) and string tree, other than these all original. See last photo, (just for displaying purposes), the neck has been used with another body it plays amazingly well as you can expect from its vintage. Truss rod works as it should, frets have some moderate wear however still have life ahead and the neck plays without any issues.The binding and nut are in great shape without any cracks. Of course there's plenty of patina, normal play wear, edge wear, little nicks and dings, however there is absolutely no cracks whatsoever. These years have some particular curve shapes, profile (neck thickness at 1st fret is .850" and .980" as 12th fret, 1.47" nut width) as well as a particular way the earlier transitional Poly finish over the entire neck (except from the headstock that was lacquered to prevent any reaction with he decal logos). This mean these necks ages very distinctively and slightly different compared to 1970 and following years through 1974. Also, these years came with a particular chocolate color Indian rosewood fingerboard.Since the tuners and string tree are retrofit the neck has no extra drill holes (the two factory nail holes, one underneath the E string tuner and one by the 4 neck screw holes are present, see photos).
