Description: This vintage 1967 Phillips 66 Petroleum Road Map of the Western and Central United States is a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts alike. The map, made in the United States, is an accurate representation of the region's geography and transportation infrastructure. It is a great addition to any collection and a fascinating piece of history. The map is in its original form, making it an excellent source of information for those interested in the region's past. This map has been to hell and back. In 1968 newlyweds Brian and Catherine Gauthier decided to make a road trip from Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada to San Francisco, USA. They'd made it to northern Nevada, and confident in the rest of their journey could be done in a day, inked in the last stretch on this map. Sadly, on a short dirt road, where the Gauthiers decided they needed a rest, this is the last time they were ever seen alive. There was, according to the locals, a rough group of inbred cannibals living in the nearby hills..some said they got their hydration from blood. All that was found of the Gauthiers was this map, Mrs. Gauthier's size five high heel shoe - only one, and her lipstick kiss on the front driver side window. They were never heard from again..But I'm pretty sure this map is not haunted. Seller Pays Flat Parcel Shipping.
