Description: I had my car listed for $15,000 but I would like to sell it before Christmas so I lowered the price by about $4000. I've had this car for 13 years and I've done dozens of upgrades and repairs to this beauty. This car is mostly restored but it's not perfect.The GOOD: The car runs really well (after it warms up), new tires, new carburetor, new ignition cylinder, recently painted, interior is in good shape, I replaced the vinyl upholstery 8 year ago, new dashboard cover, swing-away steering wheel works well, car radio has a cord that plugs into an iphone, new power steering motor, new radiator, replaced and repaired front steering, I replaced the trunk lining 8 years ago and it still looks decent. I replaced all the interior dashboard lights with LED's 7 years ago and the dash looks great at night. Refurbished steering wheel, re-chromed interior trim pieces, restored hubcaps, new wiper washer bag, new wipers, and many more improvements too numerous to list.The BAD: driver window works but is slow, passenger window does not work, A/C does not work (but I have a new compressor mounted in the engine bay), vacuum locks partially work but are slow, some minor leaks and drips from the power steering reservoir, odometer does not work but I would guess the car has 175k+ miles. The new carb could use some adjustment but that is too tricky for me. Like I said, it runs beautifully after it has warmed up. On a cold morning, it takes about 10 minutes to warm up. Also the car is not super quiet. My mechanic thinks I need to replace the gasket on the exhaust manifold (not a huge job but will definitely make the car a little quieter).I have been working on this car and done a lot of repairs and upgrades over the last 10 years but it's almost 60 years old and as you may know, vintage cars are a continuous labor of love. Overall, the car runs well and shows well. I get thumbs up from old and young people every time I drive it but it's time to pass this gorgeous car on to someone new.
