Description: The rare 1965 card has visible signs of wear to include light staining on the back of the card. It measures roughly 5.25" x 4". Please review the pictures to assist with the condition and content of the card. The Marhoefer Meatpacking Company was founded in 1901 as the Kuhner Packing Company. The Marhoefer family would take over in 1945. Based in Muncie, Indiana, the company would aggressively advertise their sausages and hot dogs in conjunction with the local Indianapolis 500. These cards were produced as part of the packaging for their products. The staining seen in this card is not unusual. This unnumbered card features Roger McCluskey and is one of 18 cards that make a complete 1965 set. McCluskey made 18 starts in the Indy 500 from 1961 to 1979 with a best finish of third in 1962 and 1973. McCluskey was the USAC Sprint Car Champion in 1963 and 1966, the USAC Stock Car Champion in 1969 and 1970, and the USAC Indy Car Champion in 1973. After 229 Indy Car starts, McCluskey won in his final Indy Car race at Milwaukee. Please review the other racing items I have listed at the eBay store, The Checkered Past. I will combine shipping and provide a refund on shipping charges for anything over cost. Thanks!
