Description: The rare 1964 card from the "carbking" collection has visible signs of wear to include staining and creasing on both the front and back of the card. It measures roughly 5.25" x 4". Numerous pictures were taken to assist with the condition and content of the card. The Marhoefer Meatpacking Company was founded in 1901 as the Kuhner Packing Company. The Marhoefer family would take over in 1945. Based in Muncie, Indiana, the company would aggressively advertise their sausages and hot dogs in conjunction with the local Indianapolis 500. These cards were produced as part of the packaging for their products. The staining seen in this card is not unusual. This unnumbered card features Johnny Rutherford and is one of 20 known cards that make up the 1964 Marhoefer Driver set. Rutherford was the 1974, 1976, and 1980 Indianapolis 500 champion.
