Description: The rare 1962 card from the "carbking" collection has some light wear to include staining and aging. The card measures roughly 5.25" x 4". Please review the pictures to assist with the condition and content of the card. The Marhoefer Meatpacking Company was founded in 1901 as the Kuhner Packing Company. The Marhoefer family would take over in 1945. Based in Muncie, Indiana, the company would aggressively advertise their sausages and hot dogs in conjunction with the local Indianapolis 500. These cards were produced as part of the packaging for their products. The staining on the back of Marhoefer cards is not unusual. This unnumbered card from the 16 card Marhoefer set features Chuck Arnold, who was from Stamford, Connecticut. Arnold started racing in the northeast driving Midgets before making his first and only start at the Indianapolis 500 in 1959. He would finish 15th, the highest finishing rookie. Arnold passed away in 1997. Please review the other racing items I have listed at the eBay store, The Checkered Past. I will combine shipping and provide a refund on shipping charges for anything over cost. Thanks!
