Description: Before everyone looked at their watch or cell phone to know the day of the week . . . there were CALENDARS!!! And, there were actually people who went from store to store and sold calendars which would promote that business! This salesman's spiral book from 1961 is in excellent condition, with no bends, tears, or odors. The cover explains all the costs and composition ("Lustercard stock") of each calendar. The spiral binding at the top is very good. The first page is the example of the calendar ... you would get a choice of one picture and there would be a 5-1/4 x 2-1/4 pad which would contain all 12 months. For this demo purpose, it only has January . . . but you get the idea. There were 11 brilliantly colorful pictures depicting religious, African-American family, children/pets, formally dressed lady, fisherman, cowgirl with horse, and a "scenic paradise," to choose from. Tried to Google Superior Gift Line but come up empty; hopefully someone out there knows about them. Don't let this one get away because it really is an excellent specimen. Please look closely at the picture and ask your questions before adding this to your collection. Thanks for looking and stay healthy!
