Description: This sale is for a:1961 Ken Doll's Original Outfit (No Doll)This cute set was produced in 1961 by Mattel as the original outfit for the first issue flocked hair Ken doll. The striped jacket (with a TM tag!) goes nicely with the red swim trunks with elasticized waist and white cord trim along the side. A pale yellow terry cloth towel and cork sandals with vinyl straps complete the outfit. CONDTION: Light play and age wear is noted. The white trim on the jacket is no longer as white as it was originally. The shorts (miraculously!) have a tight waist band but slight dirt marks on the back which I have tried to highlight in the photos. Towel looks good and the sandals do not have chips or cracks. No repairs, holes, open seams or cigarette smoke/mildew odors on this lot. What a great set to add to your collection!
