Description: This "1961 Collier's Encyclopedia Yearbook," covering the year 1960, is a comprehensive reference book in very good condition. The yearbook provides a detailed account of the significant events, advancements, and cultural shifts that occurred in 1960. Inside, readers will find well-researched articles and summaries across a wide range of topics, including politics, science, technology, arts, and international affairs. The entries are meticulously compiled to offer a thorough understanding of the year's notable occurrences, making it an invaluable resource for historians, researchers, and anyone interested in the era. The book includes many black/white photographs, detailed illustrations, and informative charts that enhance the textual content. These bring a visual dimension to the historical context. This yearbook serves as both an educational tool and a historical record, capturing the essence of a pivotal year in the 20th century. In good condition, this edition of the Collier's Encyclopedia Yearbook is a collector's treasure. It is an essential insight into the world as it was in 1960. The book has been stored in a smoke free home but does show some yellowing on the edges of pages and inside the the front and back covers at the edge of the spine. I have attempted to capture this in the photos. There is minor shelf wear at the top and bottom of the book and corners have been dented slightly. This is to be expected in a vintage 1961 publication due to aging. Again, please see the photos for more details and reach out if you have questions.
