Description: Beautiful 1960s souvenir from the Disneyland theme park in California. This is a fully functioning AM radio fashioned after the popular theme park attraction in Disneyland. The Mark Twain riverboat is an attraction on the Rivers of America in Frontierland in the Magic Kingdom in Disneyland. Passengers embark on a scenic, 12-minute journey on this 5/8 scale paddle wheeler steam boat that was an original 1955 attraction in the theme park. This 12" long x 7 1/2" tall plastic radio features die-cast metal paddle wheel, stamped brass railings, steel rods for masts (which act as antenna for radio), chimney pipes and a pair of pewter smoke stacks. Highly decorative boat name, Mark Twain on both sides of this boat and includes attached stand/legs for display. Radio works perfectly with included 9v battery installed in the tower. Must see photos of this nearly perfect souvenir. This souvenir is slightly dusty from display and missing one of the tower flags but otherwise it is without damage or markings. No breaks or scratches, no writing or other markings. It appears that there might be faint toning to the top surface of the loading ramp, contained within the piece.
