During the craze of speculative nuclear powered aircraft in 1959 Aurora made a single tooling of this EXTREMELY RARE kit. Perhaps not a great seller or not marketed well it was dropped the same year. It was resurrected once in the 1970's as the Orbital Interceptor prior to Aurora's demise. There's speculation IF the molds survived but undoubtedly if they had someone would have re-popped this iconic kit by now. Although this kit is 64 years old it has lead a sheltered life! It's 100% COMPLETE, right down to the original packing tissue. The box has exceptionally clear graphics and is solid with no tears or flaws except for some shelf wear. As expected some of the parts are off sprue but they will be baggied for shipping. The decals are original and uncurled with only some of the usual yellowing. The instructions are crisp and in original fold and the kit also contains a period advertising pamphlet with items kids could order,..
