Description: Up for Auction is a Rare Original Photograph from approx. 1957 of the Yankees player Gil McDougald in action at Yankees Stadium. I believe this to be an Original Press Photo from the New York Times. There are no NYT stamp on the photo but it came in a collection with NYT Press Photos. On the back the measurements (about how much to scale the image etc) is in the same hand writing as the back of the other photos. This is a LARGE photo and measures approximately 11" x 14". Overall nice condition. It is printed on thick photo paper with a matte finish. There is a tear on the right side of the photo - about 1 1/2". There are also some kind of marks (you can see in the photos) towards the left side. I am not sure what they are. Only really noticable when you get it in the light. This is not my area of expertise. I really do not know much about baseball. But I will try to answer any questions you might have. I have searched online but I cannot find this exact image. I believe this to be a rare image - and a wonderful addition to anyones collection!!! The photo might also be older than 1957.
