Description: Up for auction is a used professional 1956 The Martin "Imperial" Bb flugelhorn. All valves and slides move freely, the valve compression is good and the bore measures .462". This flugelhorn would benefit from a professional cleaning upon arrival. There are no major dents present and several minor dings do not affect overall performance. This flugelhorn has scratches througout from normal use, has minor corrosion and lacquer wear with approximately 85% of lacquer intact. The serial number is in the 201,xxx range which dates the year of manufacture to approximately 1956 and the number 3 is above the s/n. This make and model flugelhorn has become more rare with the passing of time. Included is a used Martin wood shell flugelhorn case(latches catch and function as intended, interior is intact with minor wear and no strong odors are present, exterior has minor wear througout and the handle is intact). The receiver requires a cornet shank mouthpiece to be playable and no mouthpiece is included. The pictures included are considered as part of the description.
