You are looking at an interesting American Flyer COMPLETE set from 1954. This is the steam freight set known as the Meteor Steam Freight Set K5437T. It is a nice set with a running engine, SIX clean cars, a 100 watt transformer, a complete track oval and more! This is one of those sets that collectors seek because of the theme and of course the quality. Please take the time to read the whole description and look at all pictures below before bidding. Here is a detailed breakdown of each item for your consideration: THE 293 NEW YORK NEW HAVEN & HARTFORD 4-6-2 PACIFIC STEAM ENGINE Engine runs, smokes, choochoos and reverses. Engine has some playwear cosmetically such as rubs in the paint and a little bit of red paint rub visible on the tender, but overall complete and nice. Has an original wrapper with the printed label on it. There are some small pieces torn off, and it is generally soft. All of the freight cars have Die Cast trucks Operating knuckle couplers THE 947 NORTHERN PACIFIC REFRIGERATOR CAR Is in very good shape. Clean, good decals. Lettering shows very light handling wear. Does have some light rust spots in metal, a very small ding on one end of the roof, and one worn nib. Has the original box. THE 924 CRP CEMENT HOPPER WITH REMOVABLE TOP Is excellent. There is a little bit of handling wear and some rubs. Some light oxidation. With original box. THE 929 MISSOURI PACIFIC STOCK CAR Looks real nice. Good print. Has rubs. Has some surface rust spots on door guides and underneath. Missing one latch. If this is a problem, I can replace this car with another 929 from our inventory with both latches. Just tell us after you buy. I did not swap out because we try to keep original components together and this one is otherwise very nice. In its original box. 933 BALTIMORE & OHIO BOXCAR, WHITE & BROWN VERSION Is very good. Has soiling or wear in the white--will let you clean.. A few light scratches here and there. In original box. 925 GULF TANK CAR Is excellent. Has a few scratches on ends, a few rubs, but looks real nice. In original box. 930 CABOOSE Is excellent. Looks real nice--good color and printing. Has a few rubs. Does have some surface rust/oxidation underneath. In original box. BUT WAIT...THERE'S MORE! SET BOX Shows wear and softness. Has been taped at the corners inside the box to make it more stable. Still has original label on it, somewhat worn. INDIVIDUAL BOXES Show wear, but are here. Some are missing flaps. Most have creases, etc. 4B Transformer, gray, 100 watts, in original box Has some rust on the underside of base. Scratches and wear. Original cord.
