Description: 1953 Topps #176 Don Hoak Brooklyn Dodgers mid-level EX-MT B53#176A1 This is a mid-level 1953 Don Hoak card with nice corners, straight edges and nicely centered. Nicely corners Nicely centered Clean back Vintage ‘53 Hoak played eleven years in the majors with five different teams. He signed with Brooklyn in ‘47, but had the majority of his success with Cincinnati and Pittsburg. He had one All Star appearance in ‘57 in a year when he hit .293 and led the league in doubles. In ‘59 he led the league in games played and batted .294. He was fortunate to play in two World Series, one with Brooklyn in ‘55 and another with Pittsburg in ‘60. He finished with a career .265 average, and was eventually released in ‘64 by the Phillies
