Description: This week I'm offering a number of old non-sport cards from various vintage sets. In 1954, Topps issued a set featuring prominent men and women from history, including Presidents, scientists, artists and anyone else you might encounter in a history class. The cards, issued in perforated pairs, featured really nice painted portraits of the subjects, along with informative text on the back. The Look N' See set has remained a favorite with collectors ever since. Here I have card #114 from the set, showcasing Percy Bysshe Shelley. It displays terrific colors, but has some light creasing (which don't break the surface of the image) and has some writing on the back (see scans for condition). A very nice example of this popular set. Not too bad for a card that's sixty years old. This would be a terrific addition to any collection!
