1950’s Rogers Bros, STARLIGHT Flatware in Unique Drop Front Case, 50 Pieces

Description: This set of Starlight flatware by Rogers Bros was produced in the 1959’s. It is in beautiful condition with only a couple of pieces having minimal tarnish. The case is not like any other I have seen. It has a drop-down front with an wonderful oriental, gold-toned ingraved scene on the front. The interior is lined in red felt which is in great condition. The dark wood case is solid and only has minor nicking on the back. The front, sides, top and feet are all without damage. The case measures approximately 13” high and 18” across. This set is heavy and clearly valuable when initially created. The flatware includes 50 pieces, 5 piece service for 8: 8 dinner knives, 8 tablespoons, 15 teaspoons, 8 dinner forks, 8 grille forks, 2 serving spoons, and 1 sugar spoon. This is a flatware set substantial enough to use every day and beautiful enough for guests. The case deserves to be displayed. I believe it was original to the flatware.
