Description: 1950's Murphy's Shortwave Radio TA156 WORKS! England Waves 11,13,16,19,25,31 Condition: Awesome Condition considering it's 75 years old! Cosmetic: A few scratches and scuff marks in the wooden casing. The grill and glass are nearly perfect though! There's a hole in the cardboard backing(see pics). Performance: Tested and it works! The speaker sounded pretty bad so we replaced the speaker but we're including the original Lectrona speaker as well. I was able to tune in several stations but it needs a proper antenna as I was only using basically the wire and coat hanger method. I picked up some Asian and Spanish stations as well as English. Being 75 years old, it likely will need a little tweaking. It definitely needs an antenna. It's not being sold as perfect condition. It's working, the lights light up, the dials work as intended and it looks pretty great. Being sold as-is, as pictured and as described above.
