ELEGANT CORDIALFor the cordial collector we have an elegant glass cordial made by the Cambridge Glass Company formerly of Cambridge, Ohio. The stem is from their # 3779 stemware line and is the 1 oz. cordial made in crystal or clear colored glass. It is decorated with a lovely deep plate etching that Cambridge called “Daffodil,” and also has a wide optic pattern in the bowl. This is a high-quality piece of elegant hand-made glass. The bowl is blown, the stem pressed and the foot cast and all the parts put together while the glass was hot. This piece has been in my personal collection since 1984. The piece in my photos is the actual piece you will receive. Please be sure to read the “Age and Condition” and “Approximate Dimensions” paragraphs below.This same stem, in the same color and etch, is pictured in the 1997 book Stemware Identification: Featuring Cordials with Values 1920s – 1960s by Gene Florence on page 89, with the same etching. This stemware line is also pictured and described on pages 147 and 148 of the 1985 book Cambridge Stemware by Mark Nye and according to this book was made from 1949 to 1957. This same stem is also pictured, with this same etching. on page 90-F of the 1949-1953 Cambridge Catalog Reprint Book The Cambridge Glass Co. by The National Cambridge Collectors, Inc.
