Description: This 1950s Arte Vetraria Muranese (A.Ve.M.) Murano Bizantino (Tutti Frutti) art glass ashtray/decorative piece with a brilliant emerald green base is exquisite. Inside its three-way crimped rim are bursts of millefiori, aventurine, zanfirico and twisted ribbon canes in an extensive rainbow of colors, including cherry red, copper, all shades of green, pink, beautiful blues, amethyst, yellows and even a dab of orange. Its flat and highly polished base is translucent, allowing some of its inner design to shine through spectacularly. This piece, which measures 6.25 inches at its widest point and stands about 2.25 inches high, is in exceptional condition with very few signs of any wear. There is some scratching from use on the bottom of the piece only, and one tiny ding the size of a pencil point on one of the rims (see last photo). This is unbranded, but if you collect Murano, you will be fully aware of its authenticity simply by looking at it. Words cannot convey how stunning this piece is — these copious pictures should say it all.
