Tetsuharu Kawakami 川上 哲治is in the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame Kawakami was a player from 1938-1958 He was a professional player for 18 years, winning 5 batting titles, 2 home run crowns, 3 RBI titles and had 6 titles for the most hits in a season. He was the first player in Japanese pro baseball to achieve 2,000 hits and was named the league's MVP 3 times As Manager of the Yomiuri Giants from 1961 to 1974, he led the Giants to nine consecutive championships. there are 2+ different types of these Uncatalogued Round Menko cards. one type has numbers, and another type has letters. wear, o/c, etc. collector grade 1-7/8" * I have other lots of this same series of 1-3 examples per lot listed as well (Betto, Bessho, Kawakami, Aota, Oshita, etc.).
