Description: Offered up is a rare piece of Boston Braves memorabilia. This is a complementary 1949 season pass issued to Boston mayor James Michael Curley's stepson. Mayor Curley was a notorious figure in Boston history, servinig 4 terms as Boston mayor from 1914-1955 and one term as governor of Massachussetts. During his final term as Boston mayor 1946-1950 he was convicted and served a 5 month federal prison term. He had two stepsons by his second wife Gertrude Dennis Curley: George and Richard Dennis. I am able to provide definitive provenance of this item. This card is in excellent condition for its age and would be a good candidate to have graded.
