These were issued in 1946 while “Nationalist” China was still on the mainland. The note pictures Sun Yat-Sen, the founder of the Republic of China, it was issued during the period Nationalist China was ruled by Chiang Kai-shek, leader of the Kuomintang from 1925 until his death in 1975. He was a physician, writer, philosopher and revolutionary. He became the first President and the founding father of the Republic of China. Born November 12, 1866, he became President in 1912, and died on March 12, 1925, from liver cancer. Back: Sea Battle scene. The Note: An over used note, it did its job and then got pasted up somewhere. It has multiple tears. The note will be sent in a new large currency holder that protects it.
