Description: Mint condition original Vintage holster fresh out of the original packing crate marked C. G. H. & Co. 1944 D^R as shown in the pictures. The broadarrow stands for accepted for use by the British Army. CGH & Co was a common equipment maker for the Commonwealth Australian Military Base Jacqinot Bay New Guinea in 1944. The holsters have the rare tri-colored thread pattern. Snap reads Australia inside and is tarnished on the front from age. These are British WWII 38 caliber .38 Webley holsters. These also fit many other guns and are very useful for storage cases as well. small cleaning rod pocket inside the holser. Can be used with almost any belt, but it is easier to draw if it is on a pistol belt. Holster measures 6 inches wide by 9 inches long. For collectors all items were hand stamped back in 1944. They were not always extra careful to hit the ink pad every time if you know what I mean. So sometimes they stamped them more than one time inside and out side as you can see in the pictures if you want an extra clear dated item for your collection you must specify by emailing me after you place your order. note: from a nice customer this fits a Enfield Mk. ll .38 S&W pistol perfectly.
