Description: Great vintage instruction book to learn everything about western square dancing. This book was published in 1941, written by Ralph J. McNair and illustrated by Jack D. Pitz-Hugh. It gives background and instruction on music, how to dress, how to be the "caller", as well as how to do 30 different square dances. The illustrations help to teach movements and are very vintage and charming. 125 pages. Staple bound soft cover, 5 1/4 x 8 1/2 inches. This copy was well used but still completely usable and fun to read. Binding is fully intact. Some pages have a few small pencil marks or brief notations. A newspaper clipping was stored between two pages and left discoloration. Covers and edges show some wear. Owner name on front cover and on title page. Bottom corner tip is dog-eared.
