1940's Nancy Ann Doll Orig Bx "When she was good She was very very Good"

Description: 1940's Nancy Ann Storybook Doll #132 "When she was good, She was very very good." She is wearing a sweet little taffeta ivory with multicolored floral dress with a sheer beige overlay over the skirt with lace trim. Her dress has a satin ribbon closure on the back instead of the signature safety pin. Her imprinted Story Book Doll USA can be seen above the back ribbon closure. She is wearing ivory cotton bloomers with lace trim. She has fixed legs and articulating arms. Her blonde hair is curly and wavy and appears to have pulled away from original glue on the sides of her face. Her face and shoes are handpainted. Her little head is designed to tilt a little forward giving a very demure look. Her wrist tag is not on her and is not in the box. Inside the box top is stamped "Garment contains rayon". Interestedly my home town employed over 1000 people in a late Rayon plant for rayon used in WWII (later closed and location now a park). She does not have a hat or ribbon in her hair. The original box has the metallic paper label with her series and name printed on it. This doll was purchased with a large collection from an estate sale. I would recommend taking great care when handling her as she is around 80 years old. Her arms are intact, but could easily become unattached as the mechanism is a rubber band that would be very well worn and aged and easily broken. She appears tto have been part of a collection, not purchased as toys. I did not disturb the outfit.
