Description: A fascinating movie scrapbook of 1939 to 1940. 23 leaves, with 42 pages of pasted-in starlets and stars, as well as cards and advertisements from the local theaters. From what I can tell, someone loved Hollywood and kept a compilation of the things they liked during these two years, including the films they saw (some of the movie cards have check marks). If you collect things from the Golden Age of Hollywood, I think you'll enjoy this.Physical Attributes - Measures approx. 38.5 x 29 x 2 cm.. Spiral-bound, hardcover, scrapbook. 23 leaves, with two examples of leaves being pasted together, for a total of 42 pages with items pasted on. Condition - See pictures. Pages the photographs are mounted to yellowed. 1st leaf is unattached at the bottom 1/3rd and 1 cm fore-edge tear. 2nd leaf has a 2 cm tear at bottom edge and is also loose at bottom 1/3rd of binding. The 15th and 16th leaves were pasted together, but someone pulled them apart, with a little damage to the fore-edge of the 15th leaf; all photos that were on the verso of 15 and recto of 16 were removed. 19th and 20th leaves are still pasted together, but a little separation between them at fore-edge. Someone drew eyebrows on the couple pasted at the bottom of the rear board (inside).
