It shows the features of the vessel through a series of transparent pages. It starts with the surface features of the vessel and as you turn each page it peels away layer after layer of the vessel. The book starts with the starboard side of the vessel and once you are at the last page it shows a completed port side view and you are able to again peel away layer after layer of the vessel. The item is in good used condition with the following noted: age stains, the black cloth binding has deteriorated over the years, there is a 1 inch tear in the back cover lower edge, the last page shows the ocean and the sky has age stains that shows through all the transparencies and the legend to the numbered parts is missing.
