Description: Hi, This auction is for a 13” Madame Alexander Princess Elizabeth Doll composition doll in her original pink tagged dress with attached under slip. Original metallic gold shoes and white socks. I love the face on this sweet doll. Brown sleep eyes with lashes,open mouth with teeth, shadowing above her eyes, rosy cheeks, and painted under lashes. Wig is blonde and has two gold metal barrettes on each side. Hair needs a bit of work. Pink organdy ruffled dress which is a bit soiled and it has a couple small holes which are consistent with the age of the doll. I did not remove the original shoes because I have had terrible luck with shoes of this age breaking when you unsnap them. The feet feel complete. One shoe has lost the bottom of it. Body needs a bit of cleaning, one blue mark about pea size on the underside arm. Composition has held up well, coloring is good, fingers are present. Knees are still rosy. Brown eyes are starting to craze. She needs restringing. The Princess would be a nice addition to your doll collection. This doll was made and sold during the coronation of her father King George VI in 1937. So she has historical value too. She was purchased here in North East Ohio from a long time doll collector.
