Description: This is a pair of vintage Liberty of London cloth Coronation dolls depicting King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. The dolls date to the 1937 Coronation year and were hand made by the sisters Ada & Kathleen Peat of Brighton. The sisters would make the dolls for Liberty with scraps of cloth supplied by Liberty and felt cloth sourced locally. Each doll has hand painted facial features and is complete and in very good condition except for some discoloration due to age.
