Description: 1927 Taft High School Yearbook, The Talisman, Taft, Oregon, 1st Year Edition of the yearbook, located in Lincoln City, Lincoln County. In 1927 Taft was its own city, but through the years became part of Lincoln City. In the 1920's and 1930's a string of small beach towns with their own distinctive beginnings and characters grew up in North Lincoln County. Later five of the towns, Taft, Oceanlake, Delake, Nelscott and Culter City consolidated to from Lincoln City. Photos 1, 2 and 3 show the front cover, back cover and Title Page, and stating that this is the First Year of Issue. Photo # 4 shows the High School as it was in 1927. Photo # 5 describes the School History. Photos # 6 thru 12 shows all the students and their names. Seniors are: Chester A. Hostetler, Guida E. McMullen, who was also Editor the Yearbook, Vernal D.
