Description: 1923 Elgin 7 Jewel 12s Pocket Watch Runs Good Silverode Case Working This watch is in running condition and the case is in good condition. The metal dial of the watch looks good with the hour marks labeled around the outside edge. The black blue tinted hands are also in good condition. The crystal is plastic. It is a mechanical watch, which means that you wind the watch by turning the stem. I wound the watch and it was off about 1 minute after running for 24 hours. Pull out the crown to set time. The watch winds very easily. The case measures 1 ¾ inches across. The things I see wrong with this watch is that the case seems stained or tarnished. The front of the watch reads: Elgin The movement reads: Elgin Nat’l Watch Co U.S.A. (not marked but is Seven Jewels) 26751743 (indicated Circa 1923) The inside case reads: Philadelphia Watch Case Co Silverode 593046 The outside case reads: Plain except a monogram in middle back J.A.C. Questions always welcome as I aim to describe all aspects of my items to the best of my ability. There is no guarantee on accuracy for an old watch thus is being sold as is. I timed this watch dial up and crown up to get the timing mentioned above. As always it is suggested to get watches fully services to bring them back to perfect precision and proper time keeping. Payments are accepted via Paypal. Items shipped Saturday after payment. Thank you for looking and happy bidding.
