Description: 1922 E120 American Caramel - Lee King, Philadelphia Phillies - PSA 3 On the Set - Manufactured by the American Caramel Co. in 1922, the American Caramel E120 Baseball Card Set is one of the iconic candy card collections. This set includes 240 unnumbered baseball cards, featuring 15 players from each team. Each card measures 2" by 3¼" and showcases a tinted action shot of a player within a decorative oval frame. The player’s name, position, team and league are displayed at the bottom of the card. Unique frame designs distinguish each team’s cards, with American League players printed on beige/tan sepia paper stock and National League players on green paper stock. The back of each card features a checklist for the respective team. Despite its popularity and comprehensive nature, the 1922 E120 American Caramel Set is known for its delicate construction, resulting in many cards surviving in less than pristine condition. On the Player - Edward Lee King (1892-1967) played as an outfielder for several Major League Baseball teams, including the Pittsburgh Pirates (1916–1918), New York Giants (1919–1921), and Philadelphia Phillies (1921–1922). He returned to the New York Giants in 1922. King concluded his MLB career with a memorable performance in the 1922 World Series, where he drove in the final run with a double, securing victory for the Giants. Remarkably, this occurred during his sole at-bat in a World Series game.
