Description: This card is one in a series of 40 cards issued in Canada by the NEILSON Chocolate Company. One was inserted into each package of NEILSONS Chocolate Bars. They are listed as V60 Type 1 in Burdick’s American Card Catalogue, they are entitled “Automobiles (Black & White) ”. Although no guide that I know of provides an actual date of issued I have always assumed that it is some time around the 1920-25 era due to the age of the cars featured. Each card features a black and white (actually it is almost sepia tone rather than black and white). photographic image of the automobile. The back states that there are 40 cards in the series and also has advertising for Neilson’s Chocolates. This card number 31 in the series and features a PACKARD SIX SEDAN Car. The Card measures 2 1/2 inches by 1 5/16 inches approximately. The card does have some edge and corner wear, and some lighter surface creases. I have scanned the front and back of the card fairly large so you can determine the condition for yourself. I currently have more from this series listed on ebay. This would make a great gift for any early automobile enthusiast or owner of this car.
