Description: Dated 1919, this Rookwood Pottery Vellum Scenic Landscape vase, hand painted by Fred Rothenbusch, stands approximately 8" tall by 3" in diameter. Glazed in a muted blue background color that shades from a darker blue to lighter, it is decorated with tall trees, branches, and what looks to be mountains and water. Marked under base with the Rookwood Pottery "RP" factory logo, date XIX, shape number 932E, "V", and Mr Rothenbusch's impressed cipher. There are no visible or identifiable chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs. Fine age-related crazing throughout this piece (please see pictures.) A beautiful vase to add to your Rookwood collection, Arts and Crafts, Mission or Modern pottery collection. If you have any questions, please contact us before you bid. Any shadows, white spots, reflections are from the lights and not in the glaze.
