Description: This is a United States Silver Mercury Dime, dated 1919-D - Denver Mint. Decorated with Mercury Head and date, the reverse has a Fasces Axe. The date 1919 - has 2 tails (stalks) to the last number 9. The extra lower stalk to the 9 is part of the coin, not a piece of dirt or a later addition, the lower stalk appears to be under the other stalk. There is no evidence of any other numbers under the rest of the 9 or the rest of the date. Interestingly there is also a minute raised line from the bottom of the base of bust towards the rim. The coin measures approximately 18mm in diameter, the weight is 2.44 grams. Please Read the condition report above.
