Description: 1914 HAMILTON 946 23J 18s R.R. Grade Pocket Watch [ Will ship insured with signature required] Excellent running - keeps perfect or near perfect time. My father was a watch and clock collector & repairman. All his watches where cleaned, oiled and adjusted.Crystal is in excellent condition - no scratchesOriginal Double Sunk 24 hour dial - has a few hairline cracks, enamel chipped by lever set and spot at bottom of dial. The rest of the face is in excellent condition. Original hands.Star Watch Case gold filled with forest cabin engraved on the case back. Bow is a little off kilter.Original back engravings are not as sharp and crisp but still very visible. Edges of case has fine use scratches. (could be buffed out) I've included a picture of the watches original advertising. (photo is not included with watch) Marked on the movement: "946, Hamilton Watch Co. Motor Barrel, Adjusted 5 positions, Lancaster Pa. 23 Jewels, Double roller, .Safety pinion, and serial no. 688538”This pocket watch is 110 years old and may show signs of wear commensurate with age and use. I describe everything to the best of my knowledge, also through photos. I am not a collector or an expert; this watch is from my fathers collection.
